Stone Testifies Before ERISA Advisory Council

Edward Stone testified before the ERISA Advisory Council in Washington D.C. on July 18, 2023 on behalf of Retirees for Justice, the Association of BellTel Retirees, Inc., the Association of DuPont Retirees Inc., and GE Retiree Solutions about the importance of accountability and transparency for retirees in pension risk transfer transactions. The ERISA Advisory Council had been asked to address potential revisions to Interpretive Bulletin 95-1 which relates to the fiduciary standards applicable when a defined benefit plan selects an annuity provider to take on its pension obligations.
